PING Conference 2026 in association with EMIG

Over the past year, the UK life sciences sector has faced uncertainty around investment, reimbursement and tariffs, alongside the Government’s ambitious Industrial Strategy and Life Sciences Sector Plan.

PING 2026 comes at a key moment to explore what this means in practice. In collaboration with the Ethical Medicines Industry Group (EMIG), the conference will cover the Sector Plan, regulatory innovation, NHS opportunities, health data, advanced therapies, manufacturing and export, as well as industry perspectives.

Taking place in London at Victoria House, the conference brings together leaders from across the sector for discussion and networking.

Join Us for the Netwalk Event – 10:30AM Start!

After the great success of our last few Netwalks, we’re bringing it back in June – travelling through the countryside into historic Sandwich town and concluding with coffee and informal networking at the Eagle Labs! We’ll meet at Innovation House at 10:30AM – grab a water bottle and get ready for a refreshing group walk.

This is an informal networking event designed to help you connect, collaborate and support other business owners, professionals and employees in a relaxed, friendly setting. It’s a great opportunity to promote your business, build valuable local connections across Kent and enjoy some fresh air while getting your steps in.

NEBOSH General Certificate in Safety and Health

Date: 1st to 5th June 2026 (unit 1) and 8th to 12th June 2026 (unit 2)
Time: 9am to 4pm

The NEBOSH National General Certificate is the most widely recognised health and safety qualification of its kind. This course gives learners everything they need know and do to make their workplace safer. Upon completion, learners will be able to confidently carry out risk assessments, manage and minimise workplace risks, and support a health and safety culture.

All of Make UK’s CMIOSH tutors have years of experience delivering this course and can help support learners with their professional development, if desired.

Course Content

The course consists of two units, each separately assessed.

  • NG1 (unit 1) – Management of health and safety which includes: Why we should manage workplace health and safety, How health and safety management systems work and what they look like, Managing risk – understanding people and processes, Health and safety monitoring and measuring
  • NG2 (unit 2) – Risk Assessment which includes: Physical and psychological health, Musculoskeletal health, Chemical and biological agents, General workplace issues, Work equipment, Fire, Electricity

IOSH Managing Safely

Date: 28th to 30th September 2026
Time: 9am to 4pm

This three-day IOSH-approved safety training programme will give delegates the knowledge they need to help ensure safety in the workplace and prevent accidents. It is designed for managers and supervisors with responsibility for people or processes and will provide a basic, but broad and sound understanding of current health and safety requirements and principles. All of Make UK’s CMIOSH tutors have at least 10 years of experience delivering IOSH Managing Safely and this shows in our 100% delegate pass rate.

  • Responsibilities and accountabilities – requirements of managers with regards to health and safety
  • Legal requirements – health and safety law
  • Risk assessment – key steps and control strategies
