We are proud to house the only Barclays Eagle Lab in Kent, linking our business community to one of the UK’s largest incubator networks for start-ups and scale-ups, all free of charge. Barclays Eagle Labs are a hub for entrepreneurial growth, offering mentorship from industry experts. Our lab hosts engaging workshops, events and programmes that focus on skill development, fosters collaboration among like-minded entrepreneurs and can connect you with potential partners and investors.
With a keen focus on nurturing ground-breaking ideas, we provide strategic funding and expert mentorship to promising start-ups and high-growth companies. We believe in the power of collaboration and aim to build strong partnerships with the ventures we support, creating a dynamic ecosystem that propels businesses to their fullest potential.
Our most recent programme, Discovery Spark aims to provide the tools and techniques needed to build healthy foundations in your business and improve your presentation and pitching skills to successfully secure investment, all through an immersive learning experience.

The lab provides the University and its students with first-class facilities to support businesses in finding solutions for new treatments and ground-breaking discoveries across a wide-range of disciplines. Work is varied from undergraduate projects to full academic consultancy.
We also have a range of Contract Research Organisations (CROs) on-site providing both clinical trial management services and drug discovery, manufacturing, laboratory and bioanalytical services.
The Skills Hub also helps companies navigate the complex landscape of qualifications, from work placements and traineeships, through internships and apprenticeships to graduates allowing businesses to recruit new talent, upskill their workforce or address any skills gaps they may have.
