Established in 1975, New Appointments Group (NAG) is a major independent HR and recruitment consultancy offering a comprehensive range of HR support services with the emphasis on permanent, temporary and contract recruitment at all levels. Our clients who are predominantly Kent-based comprise commercial businesses, public bodies and not-for-profit organisations across all industry sectors.


The company has a high staff stability record – 41% of current employees have +10 years’ service and 53% have +5 years’ service.

A key element of our success is our unique understanding, gained through many years’ experience, of the local economy, including skills availability, the culture of human resources, market pay rates and employee benefits across the region.

The ability to source appropriately skilled and qualified candidates is a key measurement criterion and is an area in which we invest heavily. Through our affiliations with all major job boards in the market place and our own substantial database of active job seekers, we have access to a huge pool of talent.


Our Consultants take time to build close relationships with both clients and candidates – they are skilled at interpreting client job and person specifications and develop an in-depth understanding of client requirements. This, combined with close awareness of the skills, capabilities and aspirations of their candidates ensures they are able to effectively match suitable candidates with client requirements.

As well as individual recruitment assignments, NAG has considerable experience of handling volume projects, often requiring the recruitment of large numbers of staff within tightly defined timescales. These programmes may be for clients expanding existing operations or for those relocating or setting up new operations, where NAG can also advise and offer support on all HR issues.

NAG is a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and its Quality Management System is underpinned by ISO 9001, accredited by BSi since 1998. The processes and procedures incorporated within the QMS are robust and, together with internal controls, ensure our compliance with statutory and industry regulations as well as the delivery of customer requirements on time, to budget and within specification.
