The reopening of the Discovery Park Visitor Centre

Over the last few weeks, you will have seen, or been directly involved in, a hive of activity as the final preparations were being made for the re-opening of Discovery Parks newly refurbished Visitor Centre.

The Visitor Centre, then branded as St Georges Park, was closed in 2017. Visitors to the park were required to report to one of the three reception areas located at the Gateway, Innovation House and Discovery Park House. Consequently, many visitors to the park often became lost as they navigated their way around the parks many parking facilities and buildings.

To support our ambition to be a world class world leading science park, providing an exceptional visitor experience, it was decided to breathe new life into the Visitor Centre and undertake a full interior refurbishment and fit-out that would leave a lasting impression for all those that visit the park.

The Visitor Centre, with dedicated visitor parking, will provide for a centralised location where our Front of House Team will welcome all guests and signpost them to their location or await collection by their host. Comfortable stylish seating areas will enable visitors to relax whilst viewing video footage that provides an oversight of the park, key areas of focus and in which tenants speak glowingly about their experiences at Discovery Park.

In addition, the re-opening the Visitor Centre has also enabled new and improved security measures to be implemented across site. Over the coming weeks access control turnstiles will be introduced and all buildings will be placed on access control, meaning all tenants, their employees and guests will require a valid security pass.
