Job Title: Receptionist

Reporting to: Customer Experience Manager

Location: Discovery Park, Sandwich

Salary: £12,532

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 09:00-14:00 (part-time, 25 hours).

Discovery Park Management Ltd supplies facilities support to all the park – buildings, grounds, roads, infrastructure, and communication networks. Our team of specialists are capable of creating and adapting almost any of our buildings. We also supply utilities to all the buildings. Be it power, steam, gas, demineralised water, etc. or take it away, such as the Wastewater Treatment plant. In addition, we provide valuable services such as security, front of house, cleaning, catering, and conferencing.

Main Purpose of the Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for well-motivated and enthusiastic people to join our front of house team at Discovery Park, Sandwich.

With a demonstrable commitment to high levels of customer service, you will use your excellent communication skills to welcome tenants & visitors to the park.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the professional image and reputation of the Company, ensuring the parks front of house services reflect that of a world class, world leading science park.


Essential duties and responsibilities

· Meeting and greeting tenants & visitors in reception offering a warm welcome

· Ensuring clients receive VIP treatment

· Liaising with various teams and departments

· Administration duties

· Communicating articulately both in written and verbal format

· Reservation of meeting rooms

· Occasionally taking and transferring calls on a switchboard,

· Having an eye for detail and occasionally doing floor walks – checking rooms are perfect each time.


Person Specification


· Experience of providing nothing less than excellence in every aspect of customer care, preferably in a front of house – customer facing role.

· Utmost discretion and confidentiality

· You will be able to establish good relationships with staff and stakeholders
