Filming & Outside Space

A diverse range of settings can be found on site, providing a choice of unique and atmospheric locations.

The vast site spans 220 acres and a number of leading films and major television series have been shot there since the park was founded in 2012.

Discovery Park has been chosen by Paramount Pictures, BBC Worldwide, Sky Atlantic, Channel 4 as well as independent film producers.

What’s been filmed at Discovery Park?

BBC Worldwide chose Discovery Park as a location for James May’s Cars of the People, a BBC Two series first aired in August 2014 where the former Top Gear presenter explores how the car became an everyday part of people’s lives.

Discovery Park welcomed The Tunnel’s production team, Kudos Film and TV, who based themselves on site for the duration of their 2012 shoot and again in 2014 for the shoot of their second series.

In 2012, World War Z’s production team used the offices and laboratories of Discovery Park to shoot scenes where Brad Pitt’s character in the sci-fi film attempts to find a cure.

The crew of Derren Brown’s Fear and Faith for Channel 4 used Discovery Park as the headquarters of a fake pharmaceutical company.
