Our services include discovery chemistry, specialist translational biology for immunology, oncology and neuroscience, biologics, biophysical assays services, ADMET & DMPK, bioanalysis, toxicology, histology, analytical services, including materials characterisation and physiochemical analysis, process research and development, and GMP manufacturing.

 

The Role

Concept Life Sciences seeks talented analytical chemists to support the internal chemistry teams with analytical chemistry techniques and knowledge. Your skills will help drive our high-quality research programmes, from our state-of-the-art chemistry laboratories in Chapel-en-le-Frith and Sandwich. You will be supporting drug research, discovery and development to our pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients by providing testing and specialist analytical services. The Successful Applicant will:

– Be a science graduated (preferably within analytical, chemical, or related scientific field with demonstrated, relevant experience in analytical chemistry from working in pharmaceutical, biotech or contract research organisations, or academic drug-discovery units

– You will have experience in GxP requirements associated with QC testing and API manufacturing and knowledge of GxP regulations and policies

– You are experienced in supporting the improvement and development of new and existing SOP’s.

– You will be a highly skilled analytical chemist who enjoys practical laboratory-based work, with a solid theoretical and practical understanding of analytical chemistry

– feel confident in delivering method development, method validations, testing and troubleshooting activities with at least one of the following analytical techniques such as UPLC-MS, GC-MS or SFC-MS. Knowledge of DSC, NMR, FTIR, XRD and Particle Size analysis will be seen as highly advantageous although not essential

– Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be comfortable reporting and presenting your research to colleagues and clients alike. Scientific integrity will be of the upmost importance to you, along with attention to customer requirements and a commitment to client confidentiality

– Be able to work flexibly as part of a team, you will display initiative, a ‘can-do’ attitude and an enthusiasm to learn

– You will be passionate about science, excited to share and expand your skills and knowledge, and motivated to make a positive contribution to both chemistry and workplace culture

 

Working Hours

„ Full time 37.5hrs PW

„ Monday to Friday
