Warehouse Operative & Order Processing 12 July, 2017

Position Summary:

Reporting lines

  • Reporting to: Global Supply Chain Manager
  • Reports: None

Scope of the role

  • Departmental
    • Receipt of all goods into Genea Biomedx UK
    • Stock control of all items held at Genea Biomedx UK
    • End product packing, labelling and picking for shipment
    • To ensure all areas are maintained to GMP standards
    • Maintain all stock records and movements
  • Business unit
    • Support customer delivery requirements
    • Stock control
    • Support shipment of all customer required goods

Individual Competencies, Experience & Qualifications

Individual Competencies

  • General computer skills, Word, Excel
  • Excellent oral and written English
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • An excellent attention to detail

Required Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing activities, preferably in a medical devices, pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology business
  • Knowledge of handling raw materials, incoming goods, warehousing, shipment & production processes

Required Qualifications 

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English as a minimum

Position Specific Functions

Supply Chain: 

  • Activities:
    • Preparation & picking of goods for manufacture
    • Inventory stock control
    • End product packing, labelling and picking for shipment
    • Move goods & perform transactions in defined systems
    • Generation of product and raw material labels
    • Goods in – physical receipt, labelling and transactions
    • Goods out – Order picking, labelling, packing and shipment with transactions
    • Process customer orders to required date
    • Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment

Documentation and reporting:

  • Activities:
    • Completion of all Warehouse related documentation
    • Reporting of all stock issues so ensuring stock is available at all times.

General functions:

Quality Management 

  • Activities:
    • Compliance with Genea Biomedx Quality Management System
    • Working to GMP
    • Reporting quality issues and risks when identified
    • Assist in the investigation and resolution of non-conformances
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and risk management in the workplace

Work Health & Safety:

  • Activities 
    • Compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and guidelines
    • Work in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures at all times
    • Report all near missed, hazards, incidents and work related injuries/accidents promptly to line manager
