Clinical Venture Services Ltd provides clinical study support services to the medical device community with a specialist interest in early and late phase start-up med-tech and bio-tech industries. Currently the preferred clinical partner for ReCor Medical Inc. a US-based subsidiary of Otsuka Medical Devices, exploring device-based therapies for hypertension, we are recruiting for a clinical trial specialist.  The role will support general office clerical duties including shipments, filing and invoicing as well as providing clinical administrative support to assist in the start-up and execution of clinical trials. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in office administration and be independent and proactive; able to think critically and happy to work in small dynamic teams.


  • Perform general clerical duties including: photocopying, mailing and filing
  • Support clinical site payment process including data tracking and site invoicing
  • Provide administrative support to clinical trial specialists for overall clinical study start up process:
    • Preparation, handling, distribution, filing of patient facing material
    • Archiving study documentation
    • Preparation, tracking and filing of clinical contracts; NDA; site specific documentation; Admin Binder review and filing
  • Support site initiation activities, including, but not limited to preparing and sending study materials to sites
    • Support and monitor clinical study inventory process by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; tracking and verifying receipt of supplies, completing inventory logs as required.
  • Assist data management with review of clinical data / information as needed
  • Provide support to facilitate clinical study payment process including Regulatory authorities, Ethical committees, clinical data review and site invoicing
  • Provide administrative support for investigator meetings, Clinical team meetings, scientific congresses, etc.
  • Additional office management and general administrative functions as needed

Skills and Requirements


  • Educated to A’ level standard (or equivalent) plus GCSE in Maths and English
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in administration
  • Experience with on line databases
  • Documented experience with Microsoft Office to a minimum of intermediate level (Word; Excel; PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small dynamic team
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Fluent in English at a minimum


  • Educated to degree level
  • 2+ years in clinical administration in medical device industry or equivalent
  • Proven experience in data entry; data tracking and clinical trial process
  • Additional  languages (Dutch; French; German; Polish)
