The latest in electric car technology will be on display at an eco-driven event being held at Discovery Park with on-site staff and members of the public invited to get a taste of the electric car revolution.
The Electric Vehicle Demonstration Day takes place from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, 28 June in the Gateway Courtyard with Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen , Toyota, BMW, KIA and Nissan among the leading manufacturers taking part.
Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy a test drive of the current generation of vehicles as well as gaining advice on all things sustainable, from charging advice to grants available to those who switch electric. Refreshments, including a lunchtime BBQ, will be available..
Lauren Moore, Leasing Executive at Discovery Park, said: “After the success of last year’s event, we’re delighted to be hosting a second Electric Car Day for both tenants on site and the wider public.
“With all the concern about petrol and diesel engines more and more people are turning to electric drive vehicles in the UK, so it’s good to be doing something to support the industry and showcase some of the options.”
“This site already does all it can to think green from recycling and energy savings to the rapid electric car charging point outside the Discovery Park House building on the Ramsgate Road, Sandwich.
“We are always exploring ways to improve our sustainability on site and events like this and the new CHP biomass facility are part of that ongoing drive to think green in all we do.”
